Tuesday Scrumptious

Breakfast is always a good start to the day.

Having had a delivery of a new cookbook, Kitchen by Nigella Lawson and i'm absolutely delighted with the purchase.

Over the weekend I made the chicken tarragon recipe and it was delicious, my lovely hubby was
tucking in. No pictures, unfortunately, as we snaffled up before I could take any. We then tried the pappardelle and butter-nut squash with blue cheese, although I didnt have blue cheese, so I substituted it with mozzarella, yum. It was so lovely I am repeating it tonight, hence, Tuesday Scrumptious. Looking forward to the programme to see more of the lovely food.

I also like eating out and trying different foods this made me laugh I used to watch the I Love Lucy episodes, .hope this will make you smile.

A corner of Lillie and Lace as you will see I am a sucker for Heart shaped things.

Inspiration

Something such as a sudden creative idea, inspired.
Tootling by a DIY store in Wilma, thats my car by the way, I give names to things doesnt everyone?
I popped into the store a forlorn looking rack of plants in the outside area with for sale stickers on them.
I chose one that didnt have a label on to show the colour

A small rose I have named Petal, I know madness creeping in, I have taken off all the brown leaves and sad bits and look what a good nights sleep and a lovely drink has done to Petal.

Not bad for a two pounds fifty purchase.
Enjoy your weekend to all you very artistic and creative bloggateers.

My first blog post

After following lots of lovely blogs I have decided to create my own with help from my lovely son ( I will put the links to these on my site so you can enjoy them too). So this is my first ever blog! I hope to post pictures, tips and thoughts on my favourite things (gosh that sounds a bit Julie Andrews!, but I love the song anyway.).

So onto my first post, Lemon and cumin biscuits, which was a recipe from Sarah Ravens Garden Cookbook which went down spiffingly with strawberries and a cup of tea. I would highly recommend them, so easy and simple to make. I had made quite a few an so dropped them by at my local hairdressers for the girls with a plant pot of strawberries. Their smiles said it all.
